overall rating: 9.5/10 Metallica goes back to their thrash metal roots while at the same time making the album sound new and not a repeat of their 80's sound. Every song on this album is at least good with a few that will become classics in the future. Kirk Hammett plays kick ass guitar solos all the way through the album and Lars Ulrich's drumming is pretty damn good. I'm glad they finally made another instrumental song and its a really good one. Welcome back Metallica!
